During the
four-day symposium it will also be also possible to present oral
communications and posters on other topics, which were preliminarily grouped
as follows:

ambient and ecology of cephalopods”.
The
symposium will be preceded (3-4 September) by three workshops:
i)
Recent advances in age, growth and production estimations in cephalopods
ii)
Cephalopod trophic relationships
iii)
Review of the ecology of cephalopod pelagic wild paralarvae
iv)
"Assessment of cephalopod species for inclusion in the IUCN Red List of
Threatened Species"
The
workshops will comprise of round table discussions and oral presentations on
each issue.
An additional workshop on "Assessment of cephalopod species for
inclusion in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species" will be held
within the 2009 meeting under the umbrella of CIAC and the Zoological
