de Compostela (SPAIN) “I do not know what I
may appear to the World, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy
playing on the sea-shore, whilst the great ocean of Truth lay all
undiscovered before me” (Isaac Newton) Dear friends. Santiago de Compostela is the final destination of
the 11th Symposium on Urogenital Radiology, ESUR 2004. This meeting
will be in Santiago during the Holy Year (Xacobeo). In 2004, the
legendary medieval way of pilgrimship, Camino de Santiago (Way to
Santiago), will be full of people walking to Santiago and the city is
going to be a great stage for us with music, theater, nightlife,
gastronomy, art and ,of course, our science. All the participants will
have the possibility of discovering the magic of this old city that is now
considered World Heritage Site and one of the most monumental towns in
Spain. We think that this meeting will be a magical trip. The main topic of the Symposium will be Functional
Imaging but beside this, we have a wide programme that will cover many
different topics: retroperitoneum, pediatric, CT & MR urography,
adrenal, transplantation, prostate, female imaging, vascular,
interventional, abdominal imaging, PET or virtual imaging. We are sure
that you are going to find many topics in the programme that will attract
you. The Organising Committee, Santiago de Compostela and
Galicia are delighted to welcome you to the ESUR meeting in September
2004. See you in Santiago at the end of your way and at
the beginning of an unforgetable meeting… on the shore, with the great
ocean of Urogenital Radiology before us. Kind regards Roberto García Figueiras
