The Faculty

The Faculty of Mathematics has over 100 teachers and 1000 students. It is divided into five Departments: Algebra, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Analysis, Statistics and Operational Research, Geometry and Topology. Also, the Institute of Mathematics is a joint research Department managing big projects as LIMES (Large Infrastructure in Mathematics. Enhanced Services) or MACSINET (MAthematics, Computing and Simulation for Industry). They are very active research and teaching centers. The library of our Faculty is among the biggest in Spain, with 26.000 books and receiving more than 300 research journals as suscriptions or exchanges.
